More (and less interesting) Paintings!

My goodness, everything's been a flutter with the school year ending.
I do miss it though. I wish I had summer classes. Plus I need a job.
But in the meantime, here are some of my paintings from Painting 1 this past semester.
But only the ones I deem good enough. Hahaha.

Yeah, those are fun.

Ugh, fine, I'll show you my crappy in class self portrait. The damn sub told me that I needed to be really dark because I was back lit, but I ended up looking like a swamp monster. So don't mind the fact that it's hardly done.

Have a great, weather wonderful week!

Adaptation Class Final

New Hitchcock Poster for "The Birds"

I like it! And for some reason it looks a bit light.
Weird
Remember that old post of mine with the early stages?
Here it is, finally. :D

Final Paintings

They are DONE.

SO HAPPY. We crit today so hopefully that goes well.
It was so crazy in the painting studio last night.
I'm glad I started about two weeks ago, because some people were just STARTING.
Suicide.
I will be rewarding myself with some delicious peach mango tea now. :)

Nightmare Book

I'VE DONE IT!
I'VE MADE MY FIRST BOOK.
With the help of the lovelies Anna and Evan, I actually got it done, yay!
It's a visual representation of this nightmare I have had since I was about three years old.
This is officially the first time I have ever actually expressed it visually.
So it's kind of like a psychological breakthrough or something. It feels good actually.
I mean, granted it's not THAT good, it's still pretty neat for me.

More stuff to come

Random Sketches

Some new, some old. And completely random all around.

I guess it's an excuse to update, haha.

I will have pictures of my painting projects up eventually as well.

New Hitchcock Poster

So for my Matter of Fact Film Adaptation class, I am required to adapt basically anything for the final.
I chose to remake an Alfred Hitchcock Poster for "The Birds".
Mostly because I wanted to challenge myself
And also mostly because I just want to have one fun final.

SO there are bout ten layers of tracing paper on top of each other here.
It's fun!

The font is killing me though.
I'll show the final when it's done

Love

Mary
