Nightmare Book

I'VE DONE IT!
I'VE MADE MY FIRST BOOK.
With the help of the lovelies Anna and Evan, I actually got it done, yay!
It's a visual representation of this nightmare I have had since I was about three years old.
This is officially the first time I have ever actually expressed it visually.
So it's kind of like a psychological breakthrough or something. It feels good actually.
I mean, granted it's not THAT good, it's still pretty neat for me.

More stuff to come

Random Sketches

Some new, some old. And completely random all around.

I guess it's an excuse to update, haha.

I will have pictures of my painting projects up eventually as well.

New Hitchcock Poster

So for my Matter of Fact Film Adaptation class, I am required to adapt basically anything for the final.
I chose to remake an Alfred Hitchcock Poster for "The Birds".
Mostly because I wanted to challenge myself
And also mostly because I just want to have one fun final.

SO there are bout ten layers of tracing paper on top of each other here.
It's fun!

The font is killing me though.
I'll show the final when it's done

Love

Above: Casper Saves the Day
Graphic Design Project_001_2009

So Easter was fun. Busy day, filled with exciting odd emotions.
Slept on parents living room couch
Woke up early,
Had delicious brunch with family
Was a little freaked out by a few goings on with my family.
Went to church for the first time in a while,
Hung out with my family,
Went To Ben's parents house,
got $39 from an Easter egg hunt (!)
Ate pizza
Played with corgis
Took at 2 hour nap
and to top it all off,
found out someone charged a crapton of money at Jimmy Johns and a gas station on my debit card, which I realized was missing from my wallet!
How fun is that!
Society is such an honest group of wonderful, thoughtful people who strive for the greater good. (I wish)

Anyways, on a completely other topic, I thought I'd post something fun for you to see.
This is a graphic design project I had been working on for a while.
Completely random.
Essentially the project was to make a poster.
And that's it.
So here it is.

Oh noo, it is so small!
Oh well,
The type says
"This is Epic
The Quails Love
To Kiss"

Easter Eggs!

Nice Friday night with the family, coloring Easter Eggs.
Simply said, I only got around to doing two of them. This one pictured below was the first one I did and it probably took long after everything was cleaned up.
That's right,
the one kid in the family that goes to art school totally geeks out over a single egg.

Happy Good Friday everyone!
p.s.
There was a lecture by John Hendrix today at 1 and honestly, it was extremely inspiring.
First of all, his work is amazing, and secondly, he did SUCH a good job of giving us a lot of good information. Much needed after a crappily done meeting about the parking situation at MCAD, which is super lame.
Oh well.
And then Erik Brandt took us to get ice cream and let us go early!
Awesome!

Good way to start the weekend!

Some old work, that's new to you.

Yes, I'm updating.
